FAQ's

Please check back often for added FAQ's! (the new ones will be at the bottom)

What is RED?
It's a color! Well ok - there's a lot more to it than that! It's the 4th Bi-Annual Singles and Campus Retreat hosted by the Toledo Church of Christ. This year's theme is RED - a focus on the words of Christ, which in many versions of the Bible today are RED.

Who should attend?
We would love to have singles of all ages and of course the campus students too. Unfortunately this would not be a good place to bring children.

When should I register?
As soon as you can! Click on the registration link above to download the registration form, fill it out and send it in with your check to address on the form.

Where is the retreat being held, what is the address and how do I get there?
The retreat will be held at Camp Sandusky: 3518 Tiffin Avenue, Sandusky, Ohio 44870

What does cabin camping really mean?
Well I'm glad you asked! Each cabin comes 'equipped' with a set of twin bunk beds, a full size bed, two windows, two spiders, a bench, a pesky mosquito and one fabulous fan! You also get a small porch and a picnic table too! There will be 4 people in each cabin, so we advise that you coordinate with 'the others' and decide who's bringing the full size sheet!

There are shower houses so pack up your shampoo, conditioner, body wash, tooth brush, tooth paste etc... and don't forget your towel!

What should I bring for the weekend?
We recommend you bring the following:
• a lawn or camping chair (we will be needing these when we break out into different lessons)
• pillow, fitted sheet, blanket or top sheet
• medications
• shower items, toiletries, personal things, etc...
• bug spray, sun screen
• flashlight - make sure to check the batteries!
• snacks if you need or want them (S'mores are provided for the campfires!)
• extra money (needed for dinner on Saturday, and spending money for Cedar Point, if you plan on attending)
• bible, notebook, pen, other quiet time paraphernalia...
• it is August in Northwest-ish Ohio - so you should come prepared for possible rain along with hot and humid temperatures, so please pack clothing accordingly (there will be AC cabins available for those who need them for medical reasons)

What's on the menu?
Breakfast on Saturday and Sunday will be unlimited pancakes, one sausage patty, and one drink (milk or OJ).

Lunch on Saturday will of course be awesome, but we're not quite sure what's on the menu yet!

Dinner on Saturday has been designed to give you the opportunity to go on encouragement dates or have small group fellowship time. We will be providing you with several options to head into town and check out Sandusky! Of course you are welcome to stay at the campground and help yourself to the leftovers from lunch, on a first come first serve basis or bring a pack of brats to grill out on your own. The options are endless, okay not really, but there are lots of choices!
